The Archives Room (was the fan room in the old 70s building but is now in the new storage room in the Arts & Technology Building)
The huge challenge for CHESS was to move from this unsuitable storage to one where there was no control of dust and temperature to a new dedicated records/archives storeroom in the Arts and Technology Centre. It took 5 years from the time we recognised the urgency of archives preservation and lobbied the school, to the eventful hot day in 2009 where we shifted photos, trophies, albums, Prospices, to the new store room. They are now safely stored in storage boxes in huge sliding storage. Our next task is to put aside a day and make sure that everything is properly categorised and labelled.
