Richard Trevare

I must pay homage to Mr Trevare, who was our incredibly enthusiastic Music Master at CHS. I was in the orchestra for four years and also the senior choir, so was influenced greatly by him. He taught my sister to play cello - his cello is now played by her daughter! He instilled a lifelong love of music in our family - I have retained a memory of how he taught major scales to this day...as well as a vivid memory of his enthusiasm for the music of our generation...the day he brought in Abbey Road, played it to the class and lauded it as one of the best albums ever. And whenever I think of a CHS Choral Festival, I think of the many tunes he taught us.....old Peter Dawson songs that I can still sing.
Here's to you, Mr Trevare!
